RK Xero Capsule – Traditional Joint & Muscle Pain Relief, 30 Vegetable Capsules

RK Xero is a traditional medicine capsule made from nine plant and spice extracts. It is traditionally used to alleviate joint and muscle pain, such as stiff knees, aching backs and sore muscles after work or exercise. Each box has 3 blister strips of 10 vegetable capsules (30 capsules).

What is in each capsule

• Boswellia serrata (Indian frankincense) gum resin extract
• Curcuma longa (turmeric) rhizome extract
• Piper nigrum (black pepper) fruit extract, which contains piperine
• Ananas comosus (pineapple) stem extract, the source of bromelain
• Zingiber officinale (ginger) rhizome extract
• Allium cepa (onion) bulb extract
• Cissus quadrangularis stem extract
• Capsicum annuum (chilli) fruit extract
• Syzygium aromaticum (clove) flower bud extract

About this product. RK Xero is made by RK Global Pharma and registered as a traditional product with the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MAL23076107TC). Traditional products are registered for their traditional use; they are not tested in the same way as prescription medicines. If your pain is new, severe or not getting better, see a doctor.

Adults: 1 capsule twice a day after meals, or follow the directions on the pack. For stronger pain the pack allows up to 2 capsules twice a day. Swallow with water. Taking it after food helps avoid stomach upset.

Once your pain settles, you can take a lower dose, or stop. If you are not better after 2 weeks, see a doctor.

Usually well tolerated. Possible side effects: stomach upset, nausea, heartburn or a warm feeling in the stomach (from ginger, chilli and pepper). Stop and get help straight away if you have signs of an allergy, such as a rash, swelling of the face or trouble breathing.

• Talk to our doctor first if you take blood thinners (such as warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel, apixaban or rivaroxaban): turmeric, ginger, bromelain and clove may increase the risk of bleeding.
• Stop it 2 weeks before surgery or dental extraction, and tell your surgeon.
• Ask our doctor first if you have gallstones or a bile duct problem, a stomach ulcer or bad reflux, or a bleeding disorder.
• Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for children, unless a doctor advises it.
• Do not take it if you are allergic to pineapple, turmeric, ginger, chilli, clove, onion or pepper.
• Keep taking your prescribed medicines. Tell your doctor about any herbal product you use.
• See a doctor rather than self-treating if the joint is red, hot or very swollen, if you have a fever, if the pain followed a fall or injury, or if it wakes you at night.
• Store below 30°C in a dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
